Invented by Norman Jay Hobday, an out-of-work Vietnam vet turned saloon owner in the 1970s, the Lemon Drop made its debut in San Francisco in the early 1970s. It became a staple on cocktail menus from North Beach to Bangkok for over two decades, hooking a generation of bar patrons with its boozy-tart-sweet mix of vodka, citrus, and sugar.

Don't forget to see what other drinks you can make with the ingredients you already have in your bar.
