What is Tequila Sunrise?
Tequila Sunrise cocktail has only three ingredients - tequila, grenadine, and orange juice - and is served unmixed to preserve the color of each layer.
It was Gene Sulit responsible for creating the first 'Tequila Sunrise' in the 1930s, combining Tequila, lime juice, soda water, and liquor. Over the years, it spread farther west, and eventually landed in the Bay Area.
