What is Blood and Sand?
As a classic scotch-based cocktail, Blood & Sand was first published in 1930 in The Savoy Cocktail Book. It is named after a 1922 movie in which Rudolph Valentino starred in Blood & Sand. In this drink, you get a combination of ingredients you wouldn't think to belong together, such as scotch, cherry brandy, sweet vermouth, and orange juice, but somehow they do.
Don't forget to see what other drinks you can make with the ingredients you already have in your bar.
