Description

In a black velvet, Champagne is combined with dark beer to create an interesting mixed drink. Although one may think that this is an unlikely combination, the drink is actually quite good. As the country mourned Queen Victoria's husband's death, the black velvet was supposedly created by a London steward, and served during this mourning period.
